The objective of the Study in Europe Fair Azerbaijan is to enable Azerbaijani students, academics and other audiences to find out about higher education opportunities in Europe.

Exhibiting at the Fair is open to European higher education institutions and national higher education promotion agencies/embassies from the 33 Erasmus+ programme countries.

What does the fair offer you?

The Study in Europe project aims at introducing students worldwide to study in Europe, to highlight study, research and scholarship opportunities in Europe and to connect European higher education institutions with international students and stakeholders in different parts of the world.

Azerbaijan: a rising market for student mobility

According to the UNESCO Institute for Statistics (UIS), the top destinations for outgoing mobile students in 2020 were Turkey, Russia and Ukraine, followed by Georgia, Germany and Italy.

The government has a strong interest in supporting student mobility and signed in February 2022 an order on the approval of the “State Program for the Education of Youth at Prestigious Universities of Foreign Countries for 2022-2026”.

Overview of the fair:

  • Exhibitors:                  European higher education institutions, European national promotion agencies, embassies, European Commission / EU Delegation
  • Visitors:                      Students, academics, parents, university representatives
  • Registration Fees:     950 EUR (excl. VAT)

This includes:

  • Free participation in the institutional networking reception
  • One exhibition space (incl. basic furniture and facilities)
  • Possibility to make a country presentation (for NATs only)
  • One entry in the Exhibitor leaflet
  • In-country communication campaign

In order to be eligible to exhibit at the Event, institutions must at the time of the event:

  • be a higher education institution (HEI) recognised by the competent national authority, an official consortium of recognised higher education institutions or a national governmental agency in charge of higher education promotion (governmental agencies may be represented by their embassy in the target countries);
  • have their headquarters in one of the Erasmus+ programme countries:https://ec.europa.eu/programmes/erasmus-plus/about/who-can-take-part_en
  • deliver higher education degrees recognized by the competent national authority (if the institution is a higher education institution or an official consortium of higher education institutions); 
  • in all cases eligible HEIs must promote higher education programmes to be delivered in one of the Erasmus+ programme countries (international campuses of European HEIs based outside of Europe are not eligible if promoting their international campus; they may be eligible if they are based in the country where the fair is taking place).
