“Education Made in Germany“ –
The international Master’s programs Operational Excellence, General Management and Software Engineering at Hof University

Hof University is a modern, international and practice-oriented University of Applied Sciences. Our hallmarks include a comfortable student-lecturer ratio and excellent support services provided by the International Office, the Housing Office and the Career Service. In the webinar we will be presenting three English-taught Master’s programs offered by our Institute for Continuing Education, which are targeted at graduate students with at least one year of work experience. Our interdisciplinary Master’s program in Operational Excellence (MBA and M.Eng) provides students with a holistic understanding of a supply chain. Based on quality, price targets and financial demand, we discuss how international supply chains should be managed, how to meet the customer’s quality demands and how to make production more efficient. Students are also introduced to the concept of lean production and to the opportunities Industry 4.0 can offer. The concept of M2M-solutions and its successful outcomes, as well as the correlation between the analysis of unstructured data and Industry 4.0 are also topics covered during the program.

Our MBA program in General Management trains students for leadership tasks in various business units. The program is focused on developing students’ knowledge and skills in leadership competence, strategy development, the development of new business models, as well as their implementation through change and project management. Thanks to a high level of tertiary-level education, in combination with the program’s cross-sectional subjects, the graduates are sought after by companies and organizations from a variety of different industries.

The Master’s program Software Engineering for Industrial Applications (M.Eng) prepares students for complex management and engineering tasks in the field of software development. Such applications range from low-level control of production processes to high-level management and logistic tasks. Managing projects in this field requires outstanding technological competence, management and engineering skills, which have to be intensively developed before being applied in highly complex environments.

All three Master’s programs last two years and include a sound theoretical foundation as well as case studies, excursions and one year of practical work experience in a company. The constant interaction with human resources managers and directors of international companies provides excellent chances to find attractive employment positions after graduation.
